I did my gcses last yeat( didnt do very well), but anyway. What does the grades A-G mean. For example i mean does A grade stand for exceptional B very good or wot does it mean ur average, an explanation of what each grade A-G means would be much appreciated ,Thanks.

GCSE Grades are from A* - U   

A* is the best anyone can get, U stands for 'unclasified', this is the worst anyone can do.

A* is fantastic

A is excellent

B is very good

C is quite good/Average

D is below average

E is not too good

F is definitely not good

G is very poor

U is Unclasifed

pompey, I got 7 A*s and 3 As, and then 4 As at A'level, and then a 2:1 degree, and I'm stuck in a job I don't like that pays rubbish money, going basically nowhere! So to sum up, exams don't mean anything in the long run!

with those grades your best off getting an apprenticeship, theres good money in plumbing(true)
