I was very grateful for a hint from you on 3947 (King by Rebel) which just re-iterated a key part of the original instructions - this allowed me to complete the puzzle under my own steam which is what I would prefer.
Sometimes you have to admit defeat - I still don't know what 4-word film is suggested by "Keith" and it was very annoying to get everything on that puzzle except the very last part of the theme - but there you go.
I will think twice about posting future hints.

Hi Hearer ... I think all may be revealed tomorrow anyway, but the film you needed was Some liKE IT Hot with Keith being hidden in the title - and of course, the MM was Marylin Monroe, co-star in the movie.
Pleased you agree on the principle of 'hints' .. and 7Lattens, I am sorry if I seemed to be having a go at you - I know this is the Answerbank, and to be honest, I am not personally offended by any posts on here. However, you might see from previous threads that there have been some heated and sometimes quite sharp exchanges between Listener camps, and I'd just point out that some people DO get offended. In particular, you might check out past dialogues between (I think) Quizmonster and Quizmonkey who probably represent the extreme opposite poles. (I think I fall somewhere in the middle).
Nevertheless, I do think that the Listener IS a special case, and hats off to the efforts of John Green who checks and reports on EVERY single entry. Please don't let anyone dilute his great work.
I'd just say let's encourage support for the Listener as an institution by coaching newcomers (through helpful but not blatant give-away hints). I have given and received the odd subtle nudge on this forum, but have thrived predominantly on my own unaided efforts. I'd hope that others may learn in that way too - anyone can copy down a full posted answer, and where is the learning process in that?
