Buying a piece of your neighbours back yard
Does any one know if you can buy you neighbours back yard and how you would go about subdividing it off and adding it on to your own property.
Its all overgrown - huge weeds 10 foot high and i dont have a back yard so though they might like to sell it and reposition the boundary.
Don know them - but i know it is on a 99 year lease?
Prseumably i would have to buy out the freeholder and the leaseholder?
if anyone has done this or has any suggestions they would be most welcome.

Best thing to do is to ask them if they would consider selling. You should also get some legal advice if your neighbours seem agreeable to the deal. If it goes through you will need a solicitor to write up an agreement and to amend your property deeds to make it all legal with the land registry.
