Is there a limit to how many vehicles can be parked on private property? My neighbour has one car and one transit type van parked in his driveway, these aren't taxed and never move (for at least a year!), are rusting and an eyesore. In addition he has another car and similar van in use, the car usually also parked in the driveway when not in use and the van on the road outside his house. I feel all these vehicles are unsightly and would devalue my property but do I have any legal way to put an end to this?

Not at all - as long as the vehicles are not causing an environmental health problem, which I doubt very much.

The vehicles don't need to be taxed if they are kept on private land and never go on the public highway, although they must have a SORN.

Your only possible redress is if he is using the premises for business purposes which require permission from the council; or if there is any covenant on the title to the property relating to parking of vehicles on the driveway - highly unlikely.

imo its none of your business really.....if he wants to have a banger on his drive let him, but just be ready the day he leaves it on the road.....

I have been on the other end of this story (I have 2 classic cars on my drive under tarpaulin). A neighbour complained to the council. I had a visit and the council said the complaint was that I was running a car repair business from my house (he openly said this was the only way the complaint would have been accepted). This obviously wasnt true & the council representative said that it was a petty complaint but he was required to investigate.

I am sorry I cant give you the answer you'd like - have you tried talking to your neighbour? even to ask him to cover them up?
