By the way, is there a competition or something somewhere? There seem to be quite a few questions about Gaelic recently. I'm not complaining because it's fun to look them up in my book each time.
Gaelic is similar to Irish and some of the stuff seems the same, tha mi direach sounds like "i am directly" dunno the next bit, then "faigheann amach ma tha seo ag obair" seems like "going out because he's at work". Obair is definitely work in Irish, dunno where Bernardo gor open. So I would say its "I am directly ???? to go out because he is at work". Does that make any sense?
Oh yes - so it is. I got "ag obair" meaning "open" from out of my memory (having got up to about lesson 9 a couple of years ago) rather than looking it up in the index. I think I was probably confusing it with "ar agor" which is Welsh for "open".
