Hello - why do all the Chinese Takeaways I have ever known close on a Tuesday...is there a religous reason..?

Where I live it seems to be on a Monday!

they close on a tuesday where i live as well, and i asked why and the lady in the takeaway said it is so they can visit their relations and know they will be in and not working, as you find a lot of them have takeaways in their family, mullein

Takeaways normally close on their least busy day, which tends to be Monday or Tuesday.

Thankfully ours is open every day, probably due to the fact that it's no longer a family concern.
