I was unfaithful once during my marriage and it was 3 hours into my seventh year of marriage.

Do I win 5 pounds????
No.
read yr email lol
It did for my first husband. The itch turned into a bleeding, pus filled welt and eventually formed a nice scab.

It hasn't happened with Mr P mark 2 though. 5 years ago he was happy as Laurence and I believe he still is.
I was happy for 5 years Pip......
Well 5 years ago we had been together 7 years, so I am basing it on that.

However we have only been married for 2 years, so it might not count? I will have to see what happens in 5 years time.
You'll be fine ;-)

oh dear... at least you had fun at the time tho!
I think it depends on the relationship, Lots of things happen in 7 years, certainly more pressure, less fun, the newness has worn off. but this can happen at anytime, It depends on the people, some people get bored after 2 years others find new realms of togetherness.
I heard somewhere that its biology and has something to do with the the youngest child when they get to about 5yrs old the Dad is able to leave them and go off and produce more offspring elsewhere. That nature made men want to reproduce as much as possible with as many women as possible but he needs to nurture and provide for the children in the early years.
The 7 yrs is because the average couple have one child when they marry, then another 2yrs later, so the youngest is about 5 when they have been married 7 yrs.
Its probably a load of rubbish and just an excuse for men to cheat or leave after 7yrs!
I just fancied another bird lol
Oh and my wife missed my graduation because she wanted to go on holiday with her sister
Only if you change with each other then you will survive the itch.
I think it exists -usually when youre thinking do I want to stay with him/her for the rest of my life -or- get someone I really fancy while I can still pull.

Think if youre marriage has solid foundations it passes (after a wee snog woth A.N Other- just to confirm that if indeed you wanted to -you could still pull).

I am in no advocating this -but I think if a lot of people were true to themselves they at least would have thought it.
Is the 7 yr itch during the entire relationship or just after getting married?
I think dumb sh1ts who like to go through life, pulling women get what they deserve, that is to die alone, with nobody by their side, it doesnt matter how many women they pulled, in the end nobody cares or remembers them.
If you're think abt snogging some stranger when you're married just for the thrill, then u're not the marriage material, and are never going to change. Its better that you spend your life aloof and alone, than ruin your partner's who's made the mistake of marrying someone like you.
my fiancee has a 10 yr old daughter from her previous relationship. the childs father is better looking than me, taller than me, and earns more money than me, yet she dumped him after 7 years for no reason other than she was bored and unhappy.
we have now been together for nearly 5 yrs and i am starting to get very worried!
