I bought some egg-mayonnaise rolls from the bakers for lunch today. Well I thought they were mayonnaise. When I got them home I discovered they wee made from salad cream instead.

As a child I detested such cream and haven't tasted it for probably 20 years.

However, to my surprise I thoroughly enjoyed them. I think I shall buy a bottle next time I do a big shop.

What flavours have surprised your taste buds which previously you have despised?

Avocado pears, parsnips & gooseberries ~ to name a few!

I also used to hate cauliflower cheese but have enjoyed quite a few dishes of it in recent times.

I like that too, REDHEAD.
goat's cheese, smoked salmon, olives
Try this for a sandwich spread, BB.

Mash a hard boiled egg, add grated cheese, then bind with a mixture of salad cream and softened butter or whatever spread you use. Spread on sandwiches - no spreading with butter/marg beforehand needed.
I do not like Honey or marmite ...admittedly I have never tried it ......... and don't wish to ....am I missing something ??
Can't stand honey - makes me heave! I don't think I will ever get to like that.
I used to hate minted new potatoes but I love them now
Butter, mushrooms and Horlicks, all of which I now love.

Still can't tackle honey, cucumber or liver though x x
No you shouldn't
If your taste is becoming corrupted by highly sugary products, you are on the slippery slope. Stop now.
I cant think of any big taste changes for me but I thought I would just mention that apparently your taste buds changes about every seven years. Not sure how true that is though.
Marzipan used to make me feel sick but now I'm starting to like it.
Olives. I used to hate them - and now I love them - especially green ones stuffed with pimentos and marinaded with cloves of garlic and a good virgin olive oil.

Cetti Love your avatar. That really made me smile. Thanks for that.
