thanks for the answers to this question before guys,but today i noticed when i put my car in reverse the battery light and handbrake light both go off straight away but as soon as i take it out of reverse they both come back on got to be an electric problem??????

i think you have been told before that it seems you earth connection on the car is very poor and needs to be looked at.

any idea where i should look for this poor connection??

check main gearbox earthlead it will be near end of box and close to body on right hand side under air box
plus any other leads bolted straight into body work
also try putting another earth lead on engine to se if it improves and check leads for heat when running

did this start after fitting radio?

mrrossi i havent fitted a radio yet although it looks as tho someone has tried before and messed the wiring up any idea what wires should be there for a radio to be fitted too???

if there is just one or two plugs without any dodgy looking repairs you should be ok if not you will have a nightmare because you will have 2 for each speaker so thats 8 for them they have a colour on one then a line down the side of its mate which is the same colour then you will have 1 black=earth 1 red=positive 1yellow switched live 1 blue amp switch/remote and 1 other colour usually orange for illumination any problems seek professional help like an auto elec as you will open a bag of worms if you wire that in wrong with the other prob.i.e black pool tower display

thanks for that mrrossi i have had a look and i have two plugs but both just look like they are just speakers,theres no,red,yellow,blue,etc

theres one there some where have a good dig round in the dash or take it to halfords let them have a look tell them your intrestred in buying a system and they will tell you what you need or if you will come across any problems
