Hair extensions.. more info needed

Hi, I have got chin length light blonde hair (straight and layered) and really want to know more about hair extensions. Firstly, my hair is naturally blonde but it is also lightened (very blonde), so would hair extensions ruin my hair? What are the best type of hair extensions? And could I still have my roots coloured every few weeks? Also how much roughly would a full head cost, and how long can they stay in for? The main thing is I do not want to cause any damage to my hair as it is lightened and I use straighteners. Any info would be great, thanks.

This doesn't really help you, Casey, but I just thought I'd stick my oar in and say that I've yet to see some flattering hair extensions. Personally, I think they look awful and cheap, but people, feel free to contradict me!

hair extensions will cause alot of stress to you hair which could lead to alot of damage. you can't always straighten them! they very rare look good and good ones will cost anywhere between 500- 1000. other cost up to about 400.
