Perfect holidays

Have a look at the pictures of this island: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diego_Garcia and tell me that you would not want to be stranded there. Its so beautiful, unspoilt and plain gorgeous. Does anyone else know of any islands or holiday resorts that have the classic palm trees, white beachs, gorgeous turquoise seas and all the malibu you could drink?

Believe me, you wouldn't want to be stranded there. It's a massive American Air Force base.
The population was kicked off in the late 1960's by the UK government and the territory handed to Uncle Sam. They're still fighting to get their property back.
I suspect the pictures on Wiki have been very carefully selected.

Have you ever been to the isle of mull in scotland? its beautiful with white

beaches ,blue water and SO peaceful.

alas no palm trees and you have to take pot luck with the weather but I would go there any day rather than go abroad
