calling all crossword genius' help finding book

hi, my mum is a really big crossword fanantic and for xmas she has asked for a book on authors. she wants to be able to look up who wrote what preferrably a list type book but I have been unable to find what i'm looking for. Has anyone got any books like this at home that they find really useful and what is the title so I scour the internet in time for xmas. I would really appreciate any help you can give me

I have a book called Who Wrote What and it lists authors & which books they wrote and also lists by books and who wrote them. Very useful.

I have a book called Dictionary of Literary Characters. - Larousse ISBN 0-7523-0001-6. (also published in paperback) which I find very useful. It covers most classical literature as well as the main figures from popular contemporary genres.
