presents for boyfriends/husdnads

Please help.

I have bought my boyfriend a few small items for xmas but nothing you would consider abosultely wonderful. i'm normally v good but i've recently gone into a new job and had my kitchen refitted so xmas as a whole went out of the window!!!

Rather than asking for suggestions as to what I could pruchase - it would take too long to explain what he's into and cross out what i've bought in the past - I thought the best way to progress would be to take a poll as to what you've bought your other halves.

The best thing I ever brought my partner was some Dog tags- One inscribed 'SL & KW' (Our intials) and 'Together Forever' on the other. If he didn't love them, I certainly did!

So far I have got him the new Yves Saint Laurent aftershave gift set, a pair of jeans and a game for the 360. And some nice boxers, his current ones look a bit crufty, like someone has been chewing them LOL

Hi atolhurst!!

Let me just check hubby's not looking over my shoulder!......

OK! I have bought him the Top Gear interactive DVD (from me) and Beautiful South "Soup" CD from our daughters.
I have also bought him some Gillette Fusion goodies as he uses it but only ever gets the shaving foam as it is a bit pricey to get all of it so thought I would treat him to the set (although they are minitures!!)
I've also bought him a book called "The Darwin Awards" about people who have died in stupid ways through their own stupidity. There is a second book but will get that next Christmas for him (will end up running out of ideas if I get them all now!!)
I very nearly bought him a remote control helicopter from a shopping channel but when I decided to buy it they had sold them all! He wouild have LOVED that! We don't have that much money so can't afford any of the others I have seen. Bought him a (argos version) scalextric one year.
Bought my Step-Dad some whiskey and foody bits from BHS such as miniture nutmeg grater with nutmegs, mintiure olive forks with small jar of olives. A DVD about WW2 planes and a tin of biscuits from M&S!

Well, I don't have a bf or father to buy for, so I can tell what I got my best mate!
I got him a tent, as he is a rock climber and the one i got him for his birthday last year turned out to be rubbish. Also got him a nice leather jacket off ebay, real bargain!

got my boyfriend a sat nav this xmas, he better use it cos was bloody expensive!! but in previous years have got him a lot of football related stuff, cider, boxers, dvds- austin powers and a whole load of ones with will ferrell, owen wilson, ben stiller and friends in. depending on how much u can spend, what about one of those experience days?

Neither of us can think of anything at all at the moment that we really need so rather than spend money on unnecessary presents we've decided to make a donation instead to the "Help for Heroes" charity which is raising money for members of our armed services who have been severely injured and maimed in Iraq or Afghanistan. (Since our government seems to be doing a pretty lousy job supporting them, having sent them out there !).
