Some you can hazard a guess by their name- drisgirl for example.

Most you can tell by their postings after a while.

If they have a profile, usually states there.

Some however, remain an enigma....like jno for example.

Dunno goodsy- some days i'm convinced they're a bloke, others i'm not so sure.

I asked once on a thread what they were, they said "middlesex".....which cleared things up no end..........!

There are a couple of people who've been on AB for ages, but I'm still not sure whether they'e male or female.

BOO has mentioned one of them, which is jno & the other is Ethel.

Now I've always thought of Ethel as a woman, but a couple of people have put a spanner in the works by posting that they can prove she's a bloke - I wonder how?

With jno, he/she has never given any indication as to what gender he/she is, which after all this time is amazing! However, ever since she kindly left me a message about microwavable inner soles for my slippers, I think he/she could be a lady?!

It's in peoples profiles, where you will find a truthful gender along with a truthful date of birth. So all you need to do is look at his or her profile.

If you are still stumped, look at the quality of his or her posts. High quality indicates a bloke, giggling inanity a woman.
