like many aspects of employment law this depends on teh contract.

You also have to consider whats wrong with you. ou may well be incapable of carrying out one particular type of work due to your condition but able to do other types of work.

You should however inform your employer what you are doing as if they become aware that you have worked elsewhere it could be seem a s a breach of trust regardless and become a disciplinary matter.
