It's my biggest pet hate. If I see someone drop something in close vicinity of a bin, then I'll go and tell them what I think of them.

No not in the street, but everyday at waterloo station i need a bin to put my rubbish in and i cant find one so i put it on the floor, i Say bring back bins !!! now days if someone is going to blow something up they dont use bins !! so there is no point in not having bins

LIttering is deeply irritating. The trouble is that they keep getting people like Atomic Kitten to do anti-littering campaigns, to appeal to da yoof. If I were a yoof, Atomic Kitten would make me *want* to litter, and I suspect I would be alone. Some corporate pop-puppet! Ha! What authority do they have?

 

What they really want to do is get someone really out there cool - the modern day Kurt Cobain, basically - and get them to say,'If you drop litter, you're a c***.' End of warning, littering decreases 90%.

 

I may not be entirely serious about this. I may be.

It's one of my pet hates too! .... If there isn't a bin around. I will put the rubbish in my bag or pocket until I either get home, or come across a bin. i tell my daughter the same thing. The way I got the message across to her was by being at the duck pond, and the pond being covered in litter, and the ducks having to wade their way through it. This distressed her quite a lot. I know it's not the foremost reason for not littering, but it is a good enough reason to start to teach children.

Cant stand people who litter, I always take my rubbish with me if I cant find a bin.  You just have to remember the government advert where the streets were filled to brimming with black plastic sacks.  God what would happen if the binmen went on strike, it dosnt bear thinking about!!
