This woman is being sent back to Nigeria (hopefully) at yet people are fighting to keep her here. Why ?

She came here 4 years ago (probably illegaly as she is now being sent back)

She has had 2 children since being here (but no mention of a husband)

She has been here 4 years and is now "hoping to get a job" (not much chance with two children of 2 and 3)

One of the children has "special needs" (so costing us even more)

This woman has been a TOTAL drain on this country and has contributed NOTHING.

Why should people fight to keep her here ?

Have we got the room to take everyone from every country that has some violence?

We are not a charity, we are trying to compete with other countries on a business footing, but people like this are just a drain.

Lets get rid of her, and the half a million other illegal immigrants who are stealing off us.

Cadbury's are closing a factory in Bristol and moving it to Poland.

Why, because we give child benefit to Poles working here, so it is too expensive to make chocolate here.

People like this woman dont help.

I accept that many immigrants, illegal or otherwise, have hard luck stories of genuine need. Unfortunately, until our own needy are adequately cared for, I personally don't wish to work to sustain a global social security system.
Charity does indeed begin at home. Only if something is left over should we look further afield with our donations.

Life is tough. I look with envious eyes towards the super-rich and wish some would bestow me a chunk of their loot. But they're not going to and more to the point, why should they?
If she had to flee Nigeria why travel half way round the world to escape it. What about Kenya or South Africa both stable countries and where English is spoken?
The sooner some sort of control is put on immigration the better. I have no objection to anyone coming here to work IF we need them . But to have people coming here and living on benefits is just ridiculous. The strain on the infrastructure is enormous. I have been off work now since mid July. I wont bore you with the details, but I have a spinal problem which is very painful, and I can only walk a short distance. I am housebound and totally dependant on my husband. I had an MRI scan in September, but will not get the results of that until the 18th of December. My GP thinks I will have to have surgery. I will probably have to go on a waiting list for that. Meanwhile I have had NO treatment for my condition except painkillers. I have worked all my life and paid into the system. I want to go back to work , but I cannot. My job is still there for me, but I cannot tell them yet when or even if I will be back. When I have been to the hospital for scans, x-rays, etc. the waiting rooms are full of people who do not even speak English. I am in the queue with these people, possibly further down the queue. What is going on ? I suspect there are a lot more people who like me want to work but can't because the NHS is letting them down. It annoys me that I have paid into the system all my life, but I am no better off than someone who has not. And that includes the homegrown spongers who will not work. It can only get worse if no one is prepared to do something about it. I do not want to live off benefits. I want the NHS to fix me so that I can get back to work!

It's people like YOU that don't help.

"one of the children has "special needs" (so is costing us even more)"

There really are more injustices in this world that should be taking priority of your ire.

I think you need to establish some sense of perspective.

Take for example, the children, who you are quite hapy to be sent absolutely anywhere other than here, for the heinous crime of being born to a woman not born on the same island as you.

There are clearly more circumstances to this than a local rag seeking to wind up a few neanderthals (and judging by the tone of your post, succeeding ) with selective facts and prejudice.

But why bother with facts when a good ol' rant at immigrants on tinternet can be done instead?
Persianlady , Sorry To Hear You Are In Pain, I Hope You Soon Get Sorted Out. This Forum Is Great For Useful Info, I think If I Where In Your Shoe's, I would Send A Copy [Exact] Of What You Have Posted Here To Your Local M P. Also 1 To, Downing ST. well as i see it if your here illegally then you have already shown scant regard for our laws so you should be sent back without a second thought.
dancunian: You Feel Sorry For This Woman Right? May I Make A Sugestion, You Take Her And Kid's On, And Pay For Them Out Of {YOUR WALLET} If It Were'nt For Keeping Other's, Our NHS For A Start Would Be Better Off. What You And Other Idiot's FORGET! We All Started Of Exactley The Same On This PLANET, With FCUK ALL!!! It Was'nt Other Country's That Gave Us Hand Out's.WE HELPED OURSELVES. END OF OKAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aye...but there's the immigration conundrum...when you are eventually treated, you have a 50% chance that your nurse will be born overseas.

The nursing shortage in the NHS has reached such a crisis point that they regularly skilled staff from outside the EU.

Who knows...you may even find yourself treated by a relative of this woman!

If you think that we all started out "the same" in this world then you are quite literally living on another planet.

But thanks for visiting.
Is this a question designed to elicit support to your already made up mind. So you just want a thread with people confirming you beliefs, going yeah right.

Do you genuinely want an answer that may challenge your preconceptions. Points of view that you hitherto may not have considered, but by asking the question you will receive answers that start you thinking in new and exciting ways?
VHG, Why do we need her here? Simple. We don't. We have too many people abusing the system, and sooner or later, simple logistics dictate that we will have to say enough is enough and no more. And to those who disagree, perhaps you don't realise it, but people living continually on benefits are laughing at you. You go to work, pay your taxes and fight for their rights, and they, whilst receiving free health care and free education for their children, do absolutely nothing to support themselves or their families. Can't blame them for wanting to live here, can you? Who are the fools?
dancunian : Like I said, We All Sarted The Same. YOU TELL ME, Who It Was That Gave Us the cosy life we have in the UK. Look Forward to your reply
As my husband says - Britain is the best, most civilised country in the world so we should understand why everyone else wants to live here. Its the price we pay for being British. Problem is - you can't get a quart into a pint pot. And I've never understood why the powers that be don't appear to realise that.
