Painting bumpers?

If my bumper colour has a metallic finish like the rest of my car do i need to apply any primer before applying touch up paint and laqeur?

I can't see why you shouldn't need primer.
There may be a primer especially for bumpers and plastics and stuff too.

There is a company called chips away that repairs chips and scratches in paintwork and bumpers, think the minimum charge is around �60
You need to apply special plastic primer which is available from most motor factors. Normal primer would just flake away under hot or cold conditions as many boy racer spoilers would show!
Companys like Chips Away are brilliant at soughting out light damage and would come to your house or even work place to do the job.
