hair straighteners

Calling all Women!! Which make is best for straighteners?? Andrew Collinge, remington, nicky clark, babyliss etc? Got lots of offers in argos and dont know which ones to get. thanks

In my experience, I've found Babyliss to be rubbish, and Remington to be pretty good if you want to pay around �40 (but don't last long), but overall GHDs are the best investment

My personal recommendation would be GHD. I know they are more expensive than some other brands, but could not do without mine. I have previously had Babyliss and they did not come close !

I have 2 pairs of GHD and because I have long very curly hair I use the wide paddles the most. They dont seem to deteriorate in effectiveness, so worth every penny in my opinion. I forgot to take my GHds with whilst away so bought some tresemme ones for 25 quid and they are alrigh, takes a little longer because of the smaller paddle but the straightness lasts for the night but I need a little extra product to keep the effect.

I have BaByliss, but my hairdressers use nothing but GHD & they are brilliant. Maybe next year!

I would highly recommend GHDs as well - can't find anything that matches up!

My ex is a salon owner and she said GHD's are the best.

I have ASAPs... They're practically the same as GHDs but more durable in the long term. My mobile hairdresser uses them, and he swears by them!
You can get them online or from hairdressers.

I've had two pairs of GHD but when the second pair broke I couldn't afford another so tried the Babyliss Pro 230 and they're as good as the GHD but a third of the price (�30 on Amazon). They go hotter than other straighteners (and have adjustable temp if 230degrees is too hot for you) and are ceramic, tourmaline etc. Basically, they do the job as well as GHDs. Perhaps some of the negative comments on here are about the standard Babyliss ones (not the Pro 230) that don't get as hot, so don't work as effectively.
