My neighbour spray painted his 50ft long fence with wickes creosote subsitute during high winds of last Sunday. It has blown across to my house. I now have brown splashes over my car, garage dr, up stairs and down stairs white upvc frames and the side elevation to the conservatory. Can we claim on his house insurance? Would appreciate any advise.

I would guess that you could claim against your own household policy, they in turn would claim from your neighbour. He would then have to either pay your insurer or pass the details to his insurer. You cannot directly claim against his policy.

You appear to have a valid claim against your neighbour for negligence. Assunming he has an insurance policy including public liability cover (Personsl liability insurance), he has the means to see you are recompensed due to his negligence. If not he is liable to pay.
Write to him and ask him tontaot his insurance co.
If you have comprehensive cover on your car you must likewise involve your insurer as the coat may have to be shared. Even if you are with a TV advertised company you may still not lose your NCB.
It would be wise to also advise your house insurer.

Do tgr not to make a meal of it, keep calm and try not to fall out with your neighbour.
