I would rather move house or put up with the complaints
Sorry you find yourself in this position. First course of action is to contact the breeder. I would take any dog back that I bred if it did not work out. If this is not possible contact breed rescue. They will have a list of people wanting a dog of that breed, either wanting to take on a rescue or cannot afford the price of a puppy, so a young one will soon find a loving home with people who have bothered to find out about the breed and be vetted and have the home checked by people who are experienced in the breed.

You will be doing the best for the dog in the long run, and you may even be able to maintain contact with the new owners.

I'll try to find a contact for breed rescue.

thank you so much lankeela. thats made things better,
gravitate- because he wanders around where we live and people have complained that he's too big, too lively, they're scared of him etc etc

gravitate- i would prefer to move but as me and my bf are 18 and 19 we arent i a financially sound situation to move, i dnt care about the complaints because they can b sorted, but the landlord has said either he goes or we go, and the only place we can get in our price range would be a small 1 bedroom flat or bedsit in town which is nowhere for a dog to be

sorry got names mixed up^^^^
My nephew rehomed a Weimaraner two years ago from Weimaraner Rescue and Rehoming Service. They have a website and can I reassure you they are excellent.
Hi lilminxlou,

You say he wanders round? As in freely? Is he not in a garden when let out?

I know how it is for you with the moving situation, im 20 and my partner 26. We had looked at moving before, but in the end said we are staying were we are as everything in our price range was a flat and with a dog and 7 cats, thats not appropriate! So now we are looking to buy a house (my partner has gone into contracting so is earning alot better now!)

wiggal he has a choice of 2 gardens but keeps opening the gates and ppl keep leavin the gate open i thought he had learnt not to but obviously not. he needs somewhere where he can wander freely i think
I have to say that if you are not home to keep an eye on him and cannot be sure where he is to keep him secure then it would be better for him to live somewhere else.
if you are so financially unsound how did you manage to afford a weimaraner in the first place?
Question Author
i said we are financially unable to move. we can afford food and all the things he needs. and its only 1 or 2 days a month where we are unable 2 keeo an eye on him as he usually goes to work with my bf.
Question Author
btw, meltoadhall, we got him from a breeder for free as he was an old puppy and the breeder just kept him shut in a shed day and night and saw him as a nuisance. therefore we offered to buy him but the breeder was bglad 2 be rid of him. and we had him before we moved here.
