My 17 year old is downstairs with 12 friends, having a party. hubby is at his Xmas works do overnight (I didn't want to go). So I've been banished to the bedroom with the laptop!!! This is a 3 bed (newly built) semi with paper thin walls..............ear plugs aren't working and I don't know how to listen to music on anything other than a record player! (not quite, but I really have only just mastered CD players).

Lol...I was thinking that maybe I should start on the wine myself. i did warn my immediate neighbour (who's a tutor of sixth formers) and she's gone out.............I think I was secretly hoping she'd invite me to hers!
scooby - lol!! God bless you! I asked my mum and dad to do the same, but they wouldn't! Ended up having a joint birthday/ Christmas party, doing stuff I wouldn't of done had I been at home xxx

OMG...this is my worst nightmare.............THE NOISE............I'll just grin and bear it whilst joining in with CB for the next few hours.............even if my spelling gets bad. I'm going to take Dot's advice.
scooby - If you need to talk to your 17 year old, ring or text them on their mobile & ask them to come up to you! It may just get out of hand noise wise & this way they wont be embarrased xxx

Thanks Sky.......I was probably half way through my bottle of wine when you posted, so I didn't read until this morning. Good job though........I was worried about alcohol, noise, mess etc. it didn't even cross my mind that they'd get up to naughties! Yuck.......on my sofa.....doesn't bear thinking about.
