Is there anyway I can turn old photographs into a Jpeg format, these photos were taken approximately 15 years ago before the advent of digital cameras.
I desperately need some photos of my mother (Dec'd) to store and download. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

You need to scan them in to your computer.

Scanners are fairly cheap and once the picture is scanned in you can make it JPEG format (if it is not already).

Many all-in-one ink jet printers can scan and copy as well as print.
If you have the negatives only some scanners have the facility to convert these to digital jpg as well.

Thank you for your help, sadly I do not have the negatives.
If all else fails, with a bit of careful setting up,take a photo of the prints with a digital camera.
It depends how many you have
if only a few ....
google "photo scanning services" - but they will charge !!!
your local photographer may also offer a similar service - cheaper

if lots

nip down to PC world .... tell them what you want .... let them show you what's available

.... ask santa for a scanner
Yup, as has been said, get yourself a scanner and scan em in, you can pick one up for peanuts these days.

Ive done some great collages of old pics for Birthday and Christmas pressies recently including one of all my Mum and Dads old b&w pics!

Not sure if Ive misread your answer Maglet but you dont need the negatives to use a scanner, its just another option should you not have the pics.
