re vw suspension/bushes?
1 Answers
I have recently bought a 1997 golf, i noticed that after going over a bump.or raised road signs/rumble bumps, that the rear end twitches. I took it to a garage, they checked all steering/suspension joints and found nothing worn, so they suggested i changed the rubbers on the rear stut tops,(as there was a bit of free play) which i did but there is no improvement. Wheels are secure pressures are correct. Any suggestions ? The car is standard, no lowering or bigger wheels.Thanks.

(where the axle mounts to the body, just in front of the rear wheels) Not a diy job to repair as they are pressed into the axle.
