if someone is being offensive can they not be reported or have i missed the link in chatterbox - i have closed posts before now because of offfensive remarks

it cost's nothing to be nice or polite so why do some
( minority ) behave this way?

Dont you think its great though that our kids do not have an ounce of the **** we used to have to put up with,i dont just mean racism,i mean everything,getting the **** took if you had free dinners,or you rode a **** bike to school,or you had four stripe addidas trainers...In a way im glad of the change,because my kids havent had to go through what i had,im a strong willed person,i rose above it,many didnt,its affected them in their lives today..........We as parents have been given/granted the greatest gift possible in life!!! i stay single for my kids,i had my chance,they will be everything and someone who i wish i took the opportunity to be....In essence i am the dad my old man was never to me..( i think we all know what i mean) its sad but..true

Well you know, Stevie - that's just fine. You sound like a good and decent dad - pity there aren't more of them. It's the same with good mums as well. If you instill a sense of pride, manners and respect into your children, you can't go far wrong. I have a disabled child myself though, and he'll never be the brain of Britain, but that doesn't stop me from encouraging him and teaching him values and morals. I never expect more from my children than they're capable of giving, but with support, you can help them to reach their full potential. It pleases me to read all the threads when people talk about things like this, because it shows that there are still plenty of folk around who aren't chavs and yobs.

Well I can't honestly agree with that in my own personal case, because my parents are wonderful. If I get it half right I'll be happy - but what I was trying to say was, that despite your own childhood, you've done really well to try and change things for your own children.

Ice, we live our lives as best as we can, my only thing in life that i would change ( and many people would beg to differ) is that i had children with someone that i didnt love and they didnt love me.....I look back and i just cannot understand why..but as the clouds thin and the dust settles i realise what i have to do,and thats well, my kids...then when they have growed and want to fly the nest,then as sad as it may seem..i can resume my own life...........god pathetic aint it,but well its the way i feel and im sorry if i offend......i think to sum it up, i have been on my own for two years,im not flippin proud or owt,the last two ladies i have met have ended it because i have ' too much baggage' cant blame em really x

I think we women sometimes forget that there are single dads out there as well, and I'm sure that eventually, you'll meet a nice person. If she's got anything about her, she'll appreciate your qualities and what you've done/are doing for your children. It's never easy to bring them up single-handedly, so I think you deserve a pat on the back for that.

Hi, just wanted to apaologise to everyone for last nights thread & the way petal etc was slagged off on it, i honestly wasnt trying to get a reaction like that and wasnt expecting bad comments about people just to get to know who's who kinda thing, if i knew i couldve closed the thread down i wouldve done, will know if there's a next time, thanks maggs! I actually turned my computer off just before 1 and ive only just checked the thread so most of the offensive remarks came when i was gone but have just posted on there remarking on 311's horrid ways and i will go and close it down now, please keep chatting to me & dont think i'm a nasty one cuz all i want to do is chat & have fun! Right i'm off to watch the X factor- Rhydian to win (just thought i'd shove that in there!) xx
