try your surgery, they will probably help u

hope all goes well for you! x
fetal maternal antinatal unit
call your usual midwife and ask for an appointment to talk this through. Your age should bear no relation to how you are treated at the hospital at all.

I dont know exactly what FMAU is but presumably it will be feotal monitoring of some sort.

You dont say how many weeks pregnant you are so itll be hard for anyone to say what the hospital may be doing.

hi i am 36 weeks thanks x
all i did was type it into google and it came up with the answer!

not rocket science!! stop stressing
dolly, that was uncalled for!

Amy,
Im sure that you will get a scan first to see if baby seems small because of its position in womb or if there is a reason that baby's growth has stopped or slowed down.

36 weeks is almost full term (37 weeks) so even if you need to be induced now because of placental problems baby is near enough fully grown and should suffer any effects.

thanks very much for your help redcrx,
wot? all i did was state what i`d done!!! sorry for telling her the answer!!!!

its there in black and white so i was just helping her, thats all

so dont start on me please!! its too early in the morning (well i`m getting old and 9.30 is early!!!!)

amy hasnt taken offense has she?!!!!!

i`m offf if thats your only answer is to be rude

... postnatal/ antenatal ward, antenatal clinic, FMAU (fetal maternal ...

now, how is that being rude?!!!

u ok amy? have i upset u? just trying to help someone so young
I think it was the 'not rocket science, stop stressing' part, dolly.

It is obvious that amylnb will be stressing ~ bloody hell, I would too and especially if I were 18 and the type of person who is unable to be strong enough to ask questions. I have been there. I was 21 when I had my first baby...allowing everyone to take cahrge and not tell me anything because ''they knew best''.

Luckily that changed, and during subsequent pregnancies I learned that 'forearmed is forewarned', making sure I knew everything that was happening to me.

Hope all is well with you amylnb. As redcrx says you are almost full term. I had my last baby at 34 weeks so understand the stress xx
I`m the only on to give u the answer!!!! thanks dolly,

heh, no worries

thats why i`m going out!!!! without being rude, why did u ask a question, get the correct answer and then thank someone else!!!!!!

good luck with the last few weeks

giving the answer for what FMAU was wasnt what i meant was uncalled for. it was the ' not rocket science!! stop stressing'

this woman (regardless of age) is worried for her baby, she wants advice and answers, not to be told not to stress unless you have a reason why she shouldnt stress.

I agree, its too early in the morning and i wont get into an argument, it may well be that you didnt mean it to come across the way it seemed to. I know that happens so I hope we can brush it under carpet :)
i had no intentions of being nasty!! i meant, to stop stressing n a motherly caring way!!!!

i`m sick of people jumping to conclusions!!! i answered the question for her, and she doesnt acknowledge it!!!! so perhaps thats rude?

no hard feeling but i`m going out for a run, which is nice cos its all frosty and peaceful across the hills and fields (well down the warm gym)
lol, Id much rather be in the warm too dolly, its 'orrible out there today but pretty looking.

Im sure amy is grateful that she knows now what FMAU stands for.

Have a good day :)
sure she does!

i would NEVER post a question, get the anwer and then not say thanks, its a wee bit rude, lets hope her child has manners!!!!!!

i`m actually thinking about a run outdoors, its sooooo nice outside! i`ll leave my toddlers in bed, they`ll be ok for an hr
just back after a 6kmrun and still no thanks from this girl!!! nice manners

Has it occured to you that maybe she has other things to be doing rather than sitting on AB all day?

Yes, it is nice to have a thanks when you have been helpful but it sounds to me she is rather worried at the moment and has other things on her mind so maybe cut her some slack?
amy,
how did things go yesterday? did the midwives on duty and the consultant help you understand what they are looking for any why?
