Hi can anyone remember the name of a kids show that had a boy living in a grand old house, there was an old lady somewhere in it and I think the ghost of a girl - it often centred around a sundial in the garden - I remember he went into some woods and the trees came to life ??? does it ring any bells ?????

The Secret Garden? though I think that was made in the 70's.

Sounds like Moondial to me - the lead character was a girl with long dark hair called Minty who travelled back and forth in time using the moondial in a garden. I got all nostalgic for this a few months ago and ended up buying the book off eBay. It's by Helen Cresswell and really brings back those memories.

It does sound like Moondial. That was a fabulous programme, I'm getting all nostalgic just thinking about it.

Hang on - what about Tom's Midnight Garden? Or did that just centre around the old grandfather clock? I'm pretty sure there was a sundial in it though.....
