Can't access hotmail

I have downloaded Norton Antivirus 2004 and now I am finding it hard to download my usual web pages, such as Hotmail

Sorry, can you describe what you mean by "finding it hard"? What exactly happens? It could be something with your norton steeings, or internet settings, or a few other things. Will need more information though.

Thanks for your reply.  My apologies for being so vague!!!  I can go to my html address to sign into hotmail and the address will show correctly in the address bar, at the bottom of the page it says "done" but the whole page is blank.  When I try e-bay I can sign in but I receive a message saying my browser is not set to direct me direcly to the next URL.  I have tried changing my cookie browser and going into Norton 2004 and changing parental control, security, everything I can think of.  I have now removed Norton completely and I still cannot get into my hotmail account.  I am now at a complete loss so any help would be very much appreciated.  I'm not very technical so layman's terms would help a lot!!!!! are you sure it is completely uninstalled?

Yes it was completely uninstalled - even did a search after and made sure there were no remaining components and of couse went through Add/Remove Programs..... having serious issues with my laptop now.  I can only presume Norton has changed my internet browsing settings but I have so far been unable to change anything manually successfully.
