Perfected Grounds.

Hi there!

My partner is currently on remand for a section 18. However he is appealing against his conviction and his sentence. His appeal is currently waiting to be heard by a single judge.
His solicitors secretary rang me today and explained that the court of appeal have asked his barrister for some paperwork, known as perfected grounds. I stupidly didn't ask what this meant, so just wondered if anyone else can help?

'Perfected' grounds of appeal are precise statements, in brief, of the points that the barrister relies on in argument. They are to help the judge to focus on the bits of evidence or law which are relevant and important to your partner's case.
