Its all very worrying, the police seem to be hyped up these days and when armed, logic, common sense and reason go out of the window.

I would be very interested to hear what the police investigation has to say about this incident.

Great big holes all over this story.

The police would have a reason for stopping him, and they would have a very good reason for tasering him. The amount of paperwork they need to complete after subduing a suspect using a taser is amazing (I have two copper mates who fill me in on this).

The reason for stopping him was 'fire arms related intelligence'. They had been tailing him for a couple of miles before stopping his car and ordering him out. Whether he was co-operative or not is probably open to speculation, but the fact that he was found to be completely un-armed suggests that there is probably a case for complaint and compensation.

Tasers should be sold (under licence) to members of the public.

That way, I can shock my sister when she begins to p*ss me off when I go round to her house on Christmas Eve.
