I have just started a new job 5 weeks ago and it's great fun.
I went on the Xmas d on Friday and told one of the guys that i liked him, to which he replied he felt the same. We kissed, but that was all. I stayed over at his house, but never slept with him..

I have come back to work and lots of people have been asking questions and telling me things like he is strange and doesn't talk much..

Also one guy keeps mentioning his ex girlfriend all the time, saying he misses her and stuff.

The thing is, i really do like this guy, but i'm getting jealous already and paranoid that he diesn't like me that much

He has texted me everyday since we met and i asked him the other night if he was still into his ex and he said no...

I'm getting so paranoid and i know if i carry on, ill spoil things

How can i relax

Thanks

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooah!
Have fun! What will be will be. Yes you will spoil things if you dont back off a bit, he'll run a mile! Sorry to be so blunt. Have you had problems in the past with jealousy? Relationships at work can be tricky, best wishes anyway xxx

Hi guys

Thanks for the advice

I'm not usually that jealous, that's the strange thing. I haven't let him know it's bugged me cos i know he'd run a mile and i'd feel like a bunny boiler LOL

I just can't get rid of the insecure feeling i have..
Sounds to me like your colleagues need to keep their noses out and stop gossiping. I think they are being a bit insensitive. If he is strange, well aren't we all! And if he did still have a thing for his ex then I'm sure he would have told you. I'm not surprised you were getting insecure with all that being said to you. I hope it works out for you and this guy and can I just say jolly well done for not sleeping with him on the first date, you obviously have values and self respect All the best

I would guess that you should probably know him better than his workmates so if you have a nagging doubt is it something to do with either your own hang ups or is there something he's said/done that you can't quite put your finger on.

I believe in listening to your gut feeling, but use your brain to figure out what's causing the feeling, you or him? If him... well you need to address that, as I said, you should know him better than his work mates.
For all intents and purposes it is just office gossip, blokes will be particularly narky knowing that someone else has got the new girl. Form your own opinions based on private moments and as said by China Doll, gut instinct, then see how things develop.
3ight8ball I don't think I actually said you have no values if you sleep with someone on the first date! I was merley praising her for holding back

Thanks guys

We'll see what happens

I think your work mates sound a bit jealous- like they didn't want you to get together with him so they are trying to put you off. If you like him, ignore them and go out with him!
