There have been some 'revelations' into what happened at United's Christmas party. There were no WAGs allowed apparently, instead women were reportedly picked from model agencies and Manchester boutiques and were invited the said hotel to party with the players. Girls were said to have been 'treated' like pieces of meat by the players, other women said it was a like cattle market in the hotel where the players were incredibly drunk. What do you think? These girls who were treated like 'meat' agreed to attend the party where surely they new they would only act as pretty centre pieces or table decorations, and then complain that they weren't treated with 'respect'. Are these wannabe WAGs asking for trouble by offering their bodies and faces to the admiring eyes of who can only be called football louts?

and of course the tabloids have reported this with complete honesty and integrity
talk about a set up, are the organisers comletely stupid or very clever, and on a backhander from the press?
yes i'm sure they "new"
>yes i'm sure they "new"

Or even "knew"
Considering this is the subject of a legal case I am surprised AB wants people to discuss it.

What are we supposed to say "yes he probably raped her" or "the girls were asking to be raped"
haha you never noticed I missed the 'p' out of completely lol
It comes to something when the ed can't even be bothered edit her own question though but. I am shocked!
dunno if ive missed something, but no-one 'deserves' to be raped
seems like a post intended to incite heated debate at the very least.
poorly written too.
and did they offer their bodies?

full of conjecture , supposition.
wouldnt be out of place in the sun newspaper.
very poor post from ab .
have they got a trainee in the office ??
No-one should be surprised if a bunch of young fit men with eight-figure salaries, and single-figure IQ's get together for a 'party' and women turn up to see if they can snare one.

Of course, no-one deserves to be disrespected, and certainly no-one deserves to be assaulted in any way whatsoever, but this scenario was a disaster waiting to happen.

It's part of our 'culture' that a good time cannot be enjoyed without massive intake of alcohol, and professional sportsmen who are also tabloid fodder should have more sense than to put themelves in this position.

Yes in an ideal world, people should be able to enjoy themselves without this kind of situation being blown up by the media, but it's not an ideal world, and these men are all adults, not boys - time they started acting appropriately.
Its that time of year again isnt it. Nothing else going on in the world?

Well it doesnt take a great leap of faith to suspect that many of the women were there just to bag a footballer. It seems to be the Modern British Dream. Find someone rich, get laid, get rich.

I am by no means saying this young girl who was at the party with her boyfriend so we hear, and was inebriated enough not to be able to stand is or isnt a victim, but with the preconceived notion of :

a) them being a bunch of lecherous young rich blokes on a rude and rowdy night out, and
b) its a media set up

Then we would, in our own bias minds form our own opinion.

The exposed lad is meant to be on around 8,000 a week and at this moment his career is in tatters. If he is guilty then so what he deserves everything the law throws at him, if he isnt then will he ever recover his career and will this girl be named as a false accuser?

I feel a sense of deja vu.
so i guess this footballer dragged her out of a taxi and into an ally and raped her? or was it in a closed hotel room? i dont actually know.....

but if it is the later what was she doing going to a footballer room after a night at at party with no intentions.....

"oh i thought he was going to show me his iPhone"
Anonymity should be a right for any suspect, until proven guilty surely, rape is a very serious crime, however we have all been down this road too many times in recent years to treat these stories with a great deal of skepticism and even cynicism, If this story turns out to be yet another tabloid money grabbing honeytrap like all the others, and i think we will soon find out at the weekend, then the people i feel sorry for are the women who do get genuinely raped by a guy, because they will think twice of reporting it.
Well this is a very serious crime, whatever way you look at it. The Players career (if falsely accused) will always follow him.
And if the poor women was attacked in such a manner will be haunted by it forever.

Some very good points have been made in this thread.

However non of us can form an opinion on this without Knowing anything about the case in any detail, So the AB ED is been irresponsible in posing this as a debate which is so loose that it is 'full of conjecture , supposition' and who's only quote marks are: revelations, treated, meat and respect.
