Jogging / Knee pain
2 Answers
I jog a couple of times a week, between two and five miles. I use purpose made running shoes (Asic's Gel) but after each session I get quite a bad pain to the left of my knee (left of the kneecap). For a good few hours it hurts to walk.
Can anyone explain why this is and what I can do about it?

I was getting similar pain to the left of my right knee hillwalking and sometimes playing footy or even just walking. It went away with physio but it's started to come back sometimes if I play for long periods of time. Mine was caused by underdeveloped muscle on one side of my leg, the other side was over developed and when I walked I was basically walking on the outside of my feet. Its something that can be fixed with physio so the first thing you should do is go to your GP for a referral. I was lucky and got to see a nice wee irish thing that was still doing her training so got to jump the waiting list by being willing to accept a student fondling my inner thighs.....
