nail psoraisis

I think I may have nail psoriasis, although just one nail shows the characteristics of this. Can anyone suggest how to treat it? I've read that vit D helps but takes a while to have an effect. I spilt turpentine on my arm about a year ago and suffered quite a severe reaction to it. Could this skin trauma have some link to the nail?

I definitely don't have a fungal infection. I do not have any of the characteristics of this. I have a pitted nail, which is due to a problem in the nail bed, a sure sign of nail psoriasis and I have also previously suffered from skin psoriasis which was treated with steroid cream but this is not recommended for the nail as it can damage the nail bed further. I don't want to visit my g.p because of one finger nail!
Any suggestions?
I would be surprised if this is psoriasis which normally affects elbows knees & scalp. Pitted nails can be attributed to many conditions ,calcium deficiency being only one. You must ask your G.P.or practice nurse, it is better than worrying 7 they can diagnose to put your mind at rest. I doubt if your reaction to turps is connected. ...Spinner
