When you get insurance and you have named drivers on your policy do you have to declare whether they have any points etc or cautions. im not saying im not going to say i just dont remember them asking for details of this when i added named drivers to mine.

Yes, the insurers will want to know about the named driver. Definitely they will want to know about any driving convictions they may have.
you may be able to get an "any driver policy" but it would cost more if not restricted to drivers over 25 with clean liscense
