My cat has a poorly eye! I don't know if he has been fighting but a few days ago I noticed it was sore looking in the corner and a little swollen, only on like the eyelid the actual eye looks ok. I bathed it in salt water and it hasn't really changed apart from tonight there was a little yellow pus like when we have sleep in our eyes. shall I keep on bathing it, let it dry on its own or does he need to see a vet?

Best home remedy for animals eyes in cold tea, however she may have a little infection, so I would pop to the vet.
Jules is right - cats are notorious for getting infected wounds, especially after a fight. Take him to the vet & get some antibiotic ointment or an injection & it'll clear up in no time.

I took him to the vets today and he has conjunctivitus. I didn't even know cats could get that! Anyway he has drops for it now and I am minus 33, all for a 5min consultation with the vet.

I know, tigwig, vets aren't cheap, but 33 is money well spent to get your best friend well again, isn't it? When Monty broke his hip, aged 6 weeks, I told the vet to "fix him, don't care what it costs" and 200-odd later, I've got a healthy little cat. He's only a ginger moggie and he didn't cost me anything as he was born here (I took his mum in as a pregnant stray), but he's worth every penny. I'd do it for any of my lot, love 'em!! K x
