Mongrel Dog losing hair
Hi,
I have a cross bred mongrel dog - that is perfect in every way apart from the past few months she has been excessively shedding hair - you can pull it out in big clumps.
Is this a result of poor nutrition or heating in the home. Can anyone advise please?

cross bread mongrel dogs get over heated blood some times its the food [ ie to rich ]mostly its the tin food that makes them itch. irritating sensation in the upper surface of the skin usually this some times makes them molt i had a welsh terrier cross that use to rub his back on low objects and make him self have bald patches becauce the tin food was to rich for him try cutting out the tin food
I have two rough collies and this year the bitch has moulted all her under coat out. This makes her lookVet says very thin now. But the dog still has his thick coats. The vet said some dogs do moult this time of year with heating but this is only the second time in 9 years. Last year was the first time and she was ill then with hepittis, blue eye, as they call it in rough collies.
