Why do we do this?????.....I did the same 2 weeks ago after a few too many vinos, knowing I wouldnt even get a text back and guess what....still havent!! Just laugh about it, thats all you can do! Dam mobile phones!

Dont beat yourself up too much hun. The amount of times I've done this... ugh. I cant even tell you.
Its just one of those things. The thing is he has probably almost done it himself. Just remind yourself of that. and it wasnt you that did it, it was drunken you! Takes time but you'll forget all about the idiot.

It seems to me that we are all in the same boat if we are single,,you can go ages and ages and even more ages without even a thought,then something happens(usually beer induced) and whammo your with your ex,,,,sex with your ex is something but nothing in the end but considered acceptable for some reason, and you wonder why you just did it,because you feel the same about them after as you did before...mixture of weakness,beer and loneliness...Well thats what i think anyway,could be a load of bollox really ;-)

I've done it too. You get past weeks/months of no contact, then you have a few bevvies and, yup the texting finger starts.

Conversely, you could look at it as a positive as I recently did. I still have found it hard to move on from my breakup and sent a text to my ex knowing full well she would not respond. As predicted she didn�t and obviously means that she has moved on with her life which in a sadistic kind of way has made me try and do the same. No point investing emotionally in the past, time to look to the present and future. Bring on 2008!

Best advice is to delete the number which you have done. Or take the battery out of your phone if you are having a drink LOL

Laugh about it, thats the best thing to do.
