Model BS7358 82S 85S
Nearly new toilet, the water does not shut off after flushing and refilling - system seems to work on different principle to traditional ballcock.
Have emailed Shires, but would appreciate any help in the meantime!
Many thanks
Pete

The original was like this :

and I changed it to this:

I'm no plumber and I don't know why one works ok and the other doesn't but I hope this helps you.

I worked for Shires for over 2 years. The numbers you have given are not proper model numbers, they are all 3 numbers eg 825. Anyway, It could be a number of things.
The fill valve could be stuck on, the water level is not set correctly, dodgy valve seal. However, its easier to recognise a common problen when you know the name of the suite or a model number. Try calling the sales dept or asking for Tony or Phil in technical and they should be able to help. (Main Number is 01274 521199)
