Weeeeeeeeeee.............................just chasing the tumbleweed off your thread MONTY .....
Hi Monty, my fav.holiday is similar to yours,we stay in a boatmans cottage in Inverinan on Loch Awe.
It has its own jetty so we can launch our dinghy from there.
Last time we went the weather was really hot for the whole fortnight ,but the year before it rained all of the two weeks!
Thats Scotland for you,but their isnt anywhere I would rather be
My fiance and i spent a lovely romantic weekend up at Loch Ness, it was superb, the scenery is simply stunning. We did all the usual touristy things, visited Urquhart castle, went for a trip on the Loch, i would truly recommend visiting.
my fave holiday is down in pembrokeshire in west wales and in particular tenby and saundersfoot. a magical part of the world with wonderful sandy beaches, clean seas, pretty harbours, castles and loads to do.
i also love the lake district, north yorkshire, devon and cornwall and snowdonia.
you can stick your foreign holidays.
