I think one of my cats need to see the dentist, does anyone know how much it cost for a scale and polish, and does the vet sedate the cat because puss would go mad without it.

It costs about 200 I think and yes the vet gives anaesthetic
You could try feeding James Wellbeloved dry cat food. It does help long term.
Your vet should have a tarriff leaflet. Shop around. It depends on your postcode too.
Hi pussnboots, one of my three cats had to have a tooth removed and a scale ect get ready.......275.75 thats with the vat on.Still dont know how vets can justify their prices, but when needs must as the old saying goes.I will have to take a bank loan out if the other two need work doing lol. g
My cat had her teeth cleaned earlier this year and it was around 250. However, this is covered by my PetPlan insurance and only actually cost me the 50 excess. This is the 2nd time she's had this done and has been sedated both times. I've changed her food to the oral protection stuff in the hope she doesn't have to get them cleaned a 3rd time!
