This site has been so impossibly and frustratingly slow all day, that rather than struggle any more with this site I have posted a couple of quiz questions on a site that I joined at the beginning of December - the last time AB was not worth waiting for.

If anyone else is as disillusioned as I am, I suggest you give it a go.

Dear Kettledrum, following your advice I thought it was my computer on the go slow. I am now going to take a look at the quizboard. Generally like to do the crosswords myself but sometimes due to various commitments need something to help me do them a little quicker. To anyone who picks up this message A VERY HAPPY HEALTHY 2008

Thanks kettledrum.

I have added it to my favourites and will certainly be visiting as it so much easier to get onto than this darn site.

Cheers K
thanks - I shall give it a go.

stony silence from the Ed / Team ..... seemingly, no idea
Thanks for that. I got to the point where I didn't dare click on anything cos it took several minutes to load, then again to return. I gave up too.
do you know of any other sites?

wasnt there a site called answerback - seems to have disappeared?
This site has been so frustrating this weekend! At least there will be a back up...thanks kettledrum.
Nice to know I'm not the only one. Typed large posts to help answer q's only to 'lose' it all when I pressed 'submit'! Happened twice tonight so here goes....will this one reach it's destination?
AB is slow for me accessing it directly from AOL but when I switch to Internet Explorer it is much faster ? I believe AOL is currently using an older version of Internet Explorer maybe it is an interface problem ?
It's not (primarily at least) an interface problem, though I wouldn't use AOL or Explorer from choice. Firefox, Opera, Safari... they're all quicker and you can export all your IE favourites, bookmarks etc.
i shall investigate this, kettledrum - - thank you.

happy new year to you

You're very welcome, Excelsior ! I had hoped that today - not being a public holiday - the technical experts would have sorted everything out before tomorrow's Bank Holiday and the expected surge of questions on this site, but it appears that we're not having any luck.

Happy New Year to you too.
