Puppys 'sensitive' shoulders

My puppy (approx 5 months old) seems to have very 'sensitive' shoulders. When I pet her left shoulder her head turns left and she leans left slightly. The same happens on her right side. It doesn't seem to be painful but it doesn't look too comfortable either. Is it something that will go away by itself or is there anything I can do to help her?
PS - We only got her at 5 months old from a rescue centre so I don't know whether she has always had it.

Most dogs will react in the same way wherever you touch them, but if you are worried get a vet to check her over. What breed is she - some of the larger breeds can suffer from 'growing pains' or else she may have been over exercised by previous owners. She could have also been mistreated and injured. If she is large you could try feeding her from a raised bowl so she doesn't have to put her head down to the floor to eat or drink. You can also take her to a Reiki practitioner or other sort of healer who will give her the once over.
