I'm a leaseholder and the freeholder wants to spend a large amount of money painting the windows of the property. However, i'm not too fussed about having them done and this could cost around 1k. Do I have rights to contest?

what does your lease say about maintaining the property. If the freeholder specifies it must be done periodically then maybe you could get your own quote thats cheaper.
