Hi naomi,
The best of health, and a Happy New Year to you, and everyone else.
I got this on a text from a friend, I thought it appropiate.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
2008 is at the door,
Remember,
Life is short,
Break the rules,
Forgive quickly,
Kiss slowly,
Love truly,
Laugh uncontrollably,
And never forget anything that made you smile.
Thanks everyone. I've just hosted a 'Not the New Year' Dinner Party, where all clocks and watches were strictly forbidden. We've had a wonderful evening in splendid company, and the only clue that 12 midnight had arrived was when one of my dogs barked at a neighbour's extravagant fireworks display - which (apart from calming the dog), we dutifully ignored. The happy, (and everso slightly inebriated) guests have just stumbled down the drive set on their wobbly course for home (very locally, so minus cars), and all in all it's been a pretty memorable New Year's Eve. No clock watching and no counting seconds. Just eating good food, plenty of laughter, and continuous refilling of glasses - but, Chakka, naturally, not with too much tonic! The very thought!! Cheers everyone - and a very Happy New Year to you all. xx
