If I start my application for a visa now, can i get one which starts from a specific date (example November)?

Assuming you are talking about a working holiday visa, then you have 12 months from its date of issue to arrive in New Zealand. You then get whatever the visa allows (12 or 23 months) in New Zealand.

So the answer to your question is NO - but it probably doesn't matter.

Thanks.. but having a blonde moment.. so i get 12 months to travel from acceptance... PLUS the further 12/23 months?
