Well, a close friend of mine discovered she was pregnant very late in the term (nearly 8 months!) and the reason she didn't know was a) she hardly put on any weight and b) she said she was still getting her periods.

I didn't think this would be possible but she's a professional person in her early thirties so I'm inclined to believe her (and I can certainly vouch for the fact that she put on very little weight - I looked more pregnant than she did when she had her baby!)

So I guess the answer is yes.  But whether you are trying for a baby or are perhaps worried you might be pregnant, you should still see a doctor to be certain.

Yes, I've heard that story many times.  In fact, last month someone on the answerbank (can't remember who) posted that she didn't know she was pregnant until the 5th month because she had continued to get her period.

When I was in high school, a girl gave birth in the bathroom of the school, having not known she was pregnant.
