hi guys, i've had soulseek on my pc for ages and its always worked fine, now suddenly i can't connect to it and if i manage ot connect on another pc not a lot happens. anyone any ideas on how i can get this sorted?

I just had problems with my Soulseek, where it wouldn't connect, hung on launch and 'crashed' whilst scanning my files. I then realised it thought I was wanting to share my entire computers contents - all 88,000 files! Try going to the folder where Soulseek is installed on your computer. Delete the file called "shared.cfg". This is the file that contains the database of the files you want to share. After you delete it, you'll be able to download, but you won't be sharing any files to other users - not really in the spirit of things. But you can re-assign the folder you want to share again in Souleek's preferences, if you so wish. Good luck.

ok done that but still not working, grrrrrrrrr any other suggestions or something similar to soulseek that i can use, please don't tell me kazaa tho :(

Sorry that didn't work....Have you tried un-installing it , and Re-Installing the program, from http://www.slsknet.org/? Also....do you have a firewall in operation that may be denying Soulseek access to t'Internet?
