If you post your question on the quizzing.co.uk site you may get private messages offering help. Good luck.

They are parts of a Dartboard.

sodemall10 who the hell are you to warn off folk?
Sorry THECORBYLOON. but in this instance sodemall10 is correct. The organiser of the quiz does not want questions and answers to their quiz appearing on this site. Therefore no help should be given to those who disregard this, especially when reminded not to do so.
The bull is the central area scoring 50, the spider is the metal framework and the island is the scoring area on the board itsel. It's amazing what you learn eh?
This is a question and answer site and no-one can stop me or anyone else asking any amount of questions. By the same token, no-one can stop me answering any questions.

It is about time some folk got the message that NO quiz is sacrosanct.
Right - so you would willingly ignore the quizsetter's wishes, would you? Just to win a prize? Sorry but that is truly appalling. I am all for answers being given where the quizsetter does not say anything about using this site but when they make their wishes known (it is their quiz after all!) those should be upheld.
How would the question setter know who has asked and who hasn't? I'm not taking part, but if I were, I could use any old name on the entry.

Can you provide a link to this quiz and the rules?
I've had a look at the quiz sheet for GBQ 166 and there's no mention of any "wishes" buy as I wrote earlier the compiler cannot stop folk asking questions or providing answers.

I ask again, how would he/she know who had asked?

I have no personal interest in the quiz but it does not stop me sticking up for those who ask for help and I will continue to do so. I will not be brow-beaten and if able, I will answer any question posted.

It is strange that the compiler thinks it okay for him to use the full resources available through the internet but when it comes to answering the questions it's a no-no.

The magician Paul Daniels said that many of his fellow magicians complained about those who used video recorders to work out how tricks were performed. Paul had no problems, he said it was a challange to him to alter his techniques. Perhaps the quiz compiler should do the same.
How utterly stupid, THECORBYLOON. If everybody takes your attitude this quiz will be stopped altogether, as the compiler will not continue with them. I do not think that the majority of people who do this quiz and abide by the compiler's wishes would thank you.
