Strange response regarding a complaint I made to local supermarket
11 Answers
Just before xmas I went to the local supermarket first thing in the morning to do the xmas food shop. To cut a long story short, they hadn't filled any of the shelves and most of the fruit and veg was pretty much empty or rotten from the night before. And most items were burn't in the bakery section. So I made a complaint (I don't normally complain about things) by letter and yesturday the Deputy Assistant Manager came to my door and appologised and gave me a bunch of flowers, which is great but not the strange part. She also gave me a bag of 4 small baguettes, fresh Thyme, Brussells Sprouts and potatoes as I mentioned these items in the letter of complaint. I'm not in any way ungrateful, but why give me these things when they were quite obviously intended to be used over xmas. I just think it's strange. Don't you? As, if I were the boss and someone had complained I would have given them a voucher and flowers!

Yeah, makes me think that I should have complained about something worth while like cakes and chocolate or something a lttle pricier!!
I guess they could have been overstrecthed at crimbo cazz. I do live on an Island. Although you saying that its the same in alot of places makes me wonder if living on an island makes a difference. Thanks anyway
